A building that drifts gives no warning. Surveillance flags what is out of the ordinary while there is still time to act, without burying your teams in notifications.
An alert that fires for nothing soon gets ignored. Rules therefore take context into account: time of day, season, how long a deviation lasts. A single spike stays a spike; heating that runs all weekend becomes useful information.
The site technician, the energy manager, and senior management do not need the same alerts. Each person receives what falls within their scope, in the tools they already use every day.
